Wish I had a little more time to get a few more things sorted, but with the holidays about to be over, this is what I've managed to (reliably and bug free) put out. A Staging system has been added. Upon completing a stage you are now able to teleport back to it. A legacy system exists which allows maps using the old system to be compatible.
