After post #71 I figured I dont really mind what people say now.

I have all the support I can realisticly get, from all the people I'm still in regular contact with.

 

Explain to me why it takes to long? Seems all you need to do is flip a switch and add the steam ID to the admin-groups.

 

Well its only been 5 days, and they generally won't rush it. My last app for RP took 4 days, it just feels like a lot longer when you're waiting. So doing a lot of other shit helps speed up time.

 

You don't need mine you already have a bunch!

Apps used to take weeks when Ben was around.

I generally like the thread to get some feedback, both positive and negative, especially as it shows how they react to negative feedback (which can often be amusing, and shows what kind of admin material they'd really be), if we just accepted an app as soon as it was posted it'd kind of suck that the community had no input.

 

While yes, I can flip a switch and instantly add anyone to any specific group I want, Both Kaiden and Myself agree that it's ideal to give Apps sometimes a bit longer to see the reaction of the community, as it's only fair that they should have input on the Admins that they feel should be monitoring. Certain people (Such as Chuck Norris) were able to bypass that, and look what happened, they were a drama train waiting to happen.

Plus, as Kaiden put it, certain threads can be pretty amusing.

 

Very well. But a few times you can tell its a no from day 3, Ie Rockshell's app. However, what about low-traffic threads? Mine's been up for nearlly 2 week last post being 5 days ago.

Yeah, I removed it seeing as only a few people could see it anyway.

We talk about apps every few days, and if we're unable to reach a conclusion, we don't necessarily want to deny them at that point, but we can see problems which prevent us from accepting the app at that time and need further discussion. It's not really as simple as some think with just "say yes/no, press button", although of course it is with some apps (i.e, first post, never seen before, 2 line app, etc), but with some it's just not a decision we can make quickly, like I said, with Ben it'd take on average a month+ to accept an admin app, so we've improved at least.

 

Like I said; The longer its up, the more time its being evaluated and not being denied so it doesn't bug me.
