I know it doesn't work till the portal is opened and then closed But people couldn't possibly get into it anyway so it makes no odds Also, means I'm not making your Brothel anymore!
Reminds me of GMod Tower, which I enjoyed immensely, contraire to what some of my friends have said about it (boring, time-wasting, etc etc). I think it's a wonderful idea, provided there are enough people playing to make it interesting (and that was the downfall to GMod Tower).
The idea of the Lobby isn't to replace a bunch of servers and go "here you go, this is all you have now". It's effectively somewhere you can talk to people, maybe watch a few clips and queue for Escape. You won't be able to access Escape via the server list so the only way will be via the lobby. It also means if we want to host events (movie night, comedy night) we now have a solid place to do such a thing. The reason it was shelved about a year ago was for the same concerns that you have though Zeke.
Say you die on TTT and want to join the lobby till the next game, won't server loading times factor in to you probably missing the next round?
That's up to the player really, but with TTT, I'd stay on the server. The only server where you would have to go back to the Lobby is Escape and that's because the servers can only be accessed through the Lobby - all others, you can access through the normal channels and you would not be forced to use the lobby.
Sounds pretty good, and I hope that the new gamemodes will bring back some interest in the community. Also, Killermon, the map looks really well done. And yeah, Teddi is terrible at keeping secrets.
