I played around a bit with ubuntu while installing it and i gotta admit. I really like the "Workstations" feature. other than that it's all pretty standard.

Workstation is basically 4 seperate screens that can be switched between quickly on the same monitor. helps for multitasking etc. if it wasn't for the annoyance of all the windows stuff i wouldn't be able to run i'd switch over purely for that feature.

With that said, did use it a bit in college. It's cool enough, but it generally seemed to lack support with certain things, like certain Steam games (and IIRC Steam in general at one point). Cool to see it getting more support overall though.

I messed around with a few distributions a few years ago. It was pretty cool, but simple things were just too complicated and not user friendly until you memorize every single terminal command. And the lack of support for my games turned me off. It's probably better now though.

It's incredibly easy to do. I'd recommend changing your password before running it. You will have to enter you username / password into a text prompt but i've checked and it's completely safe.

It will change your nickname so be sure to change it back.

source is included. if you know how to compile an exe you can edit out the part which changed the nickname
