TF2 eGO Servers Ban

    Well, I just learned about eGO servers on TF2. Apparently (for those of you that don't know about them) they do not allow disrespect for other players, racism (what I got banned for), or offensive language.

    I decided to go on the servers and appeal the ban so I can go back on and be an ass again, but what I didn't know is that they keep records of everything you say on their servers (creepy huh?). Basically, I tried being the father of an "innocent 10 year old" who got told to say the line due to a person private messaging me (S.N.), and that I love eGO servers.

    I was on Black Mesa CP, which has the control point letters spelling out "Black" as in Black Mesa, so I said:

    2010-08-10 22:50:23 Hey! The control points spell out B L A C K
    2010-08-10 22:50:26 Like N1GGERS

    And then I found that they kept a log of all my other offenses on their 2fort server (still find that creepy):

    2010-08-10 22:37:49 Oh you bitch

    Haha... It was fun while it lasted. I have been hearing about them for years, but never bothered to see what all the hype was about. Then I was in a server with a guy bitching about how he got banned and all for saying a few minor "offensive words" and thought I'd finally go see if all the crap people talked about them was true. It was.

    Update: Just got the official boot. Lol, I figured it would be so once I learned that they go all over-imposing girlfriend on you by copying down everything you've ever said. I mean, isn't that creepy?

    Nope. For a while we logged all chats and actions. But we deemed it pretty useless.

    Technically chat is still logged by the console, that we can't turn off. But back when we only had Sandbox / RP08, all chat was logged via a database. As were spawning actions etc.
