Hay guise. I'm having some trouble with my Steam client ATM. I recently had to uninstall and reinstall on boths comps because they were like "HORRY SHIITTT STEAM NOES WORKS NOW K?" Anyway, I reinstalled and downloaded CSS, GMod, etc. etc., but when I launch the game to go play, NO GAMES SHOW UP. It is constantly refreshing the server list, but I never see any. I'm connected to the internet (obviously), so I don't know what the problem could be... Suggestions? Thanks. EDIT: LOL wow technical is in OFF TOPIC. /headdesk
Tech forums are in offtopic.. and seeing as this would be offtopic.. yeah... Also, -fullscreen in your launch options would fix it.
I'll try that now, thanks. ---------- Post added at 08:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 AM ---------- LIAR! It didn't work
-autoconfig should work. ---------- Post added at 01:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:54 PM ---------- By the way, ensure you're adding it via steam, not via the icon
I had this problem!! I can't remember how i fixed it though /facepalm. Does it say anything on the server list?
Usually -fullscreen or -autoconfig is the fix. In which, I've only ever come across your problem once. Do -windows and -dxlevel 81.
Both at same time or one at a time? My problem is this: I can get in the game fine, but I click "Play Multiplayer" and the servers screen comes up. It is then indefinetly stationary at "refreshing server list" Clicking stop refresh stops it, but does not open up the option to quick refresh, only start, but then nothing happens. No servers appear. What's the solution???!?!?!
How do I forward ports? I know the reset router trick but brother is playing now as well and would be pissed if internet cut out. Ill try to turn off my firewall. Any other suggestions?
Well it turned out that it was the freakin' AVG firewall that was blocking my connection. Wow. /headdesk Thanks for the help anyway guys
