So, Obama was sworn in the other day (TUESDAY, JAN. 20th 2009). If you didn't get to see the inauguration, you missed history. It was incredible. This is Barack H. Obama's Inaugural Address LINK NOTE: I know this is not really relevant to the U.K. but still it is History.
Still relevant to the UK, as what happens in the US still seems to affect us. xD I saw it anyway though.
His first will probably be counted as a smart move though, and more to follow just cause of the hype around him, until the USA seriously gets into some trouble.
What a lot of people seem to not understand is that you have to support him. Because right now the US economy is pretty much in shambles. And if he fails we fail. So support him and stand behind him. He can get the US out of this S&@t hole.
To be honest, this was just like every other time a president that got swore in. But this time they had a massive concert 2 days before.
This was not like every other time a president got sworn in, Tools. You understand the historic proportions of this? This was major. Not only the fact he is the first African American president, but the icon he has become.
No i don't, i just see it has the first black president. It will be a huge historical proportion when he moves from being an icon to a leader and changes the world. Then he will be the greatest president and history will be recorded..
Either way. This inauguration was different because how many other times do you see a man go up there and start rhyming colors with phrases for equality. Hah.
Racism = retarded. Until you've grown up in the UK, you won't really know what bullying of any type is. It's been proving that UK kids are the worst. Yay, new president, congrats. Who gives a shit of his ethniciy.
I meant major, anyway, you're vowing to protect and lead a whole country for four years, I'd forget lines too.
IT just so happens he did this on a day or two after MLK Jr's Birthday, wich is a celebrated african american in the US. His dream was Equal rights, and Now its been extended to its fullest power. Presidency. "I have a dream" http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeche ... adream.htm
Lets hope he dosnt turn out like Canadas first female priminister, SHE SUCKED! Infact she didnt even lasta year before she was forced out.
U guys act as if a black man was never allowed to become president. We have had equal rights in America for quite some time now. Its not our fault they never got in too office. Its racist to think that a black man was never allowed to be president, the only difference from him and the white man is color, Hes still a human being. He will make decisions like every other man out there. Hey it may have been historical, but I'll be more willing to watch when the first women becomes President over a man. That will be history.
