Generic desktop thread

I used to use StarDock objectdock. I just use folders now though.

So did I! And then I realized it was what was using up so much CPU...

 

Yea well now I have a quad core, but I had the same problem using a single core. Maybe they've fixed CPU issues by now.

 

Well, I really don't care about it any more... Honestly I use maybe 25% CPU and 50% RAM when playing games, so it wouldn't hurt to reinstall it, but I just don't really want it any more, it just looked cool at the time.

And also, maybe someone could help (I constantly search Google for it, but nothing). My computer hangs for about a minute going into the Ctrl + Alt + Delete Screen (official name is apparently Windows Security Screen), and hangs for another minute exiting it too, regardless of whether I open the Task Manager or hit Cancel (only two functions of it I use). I don't know if it's related, but it also hangs when opening full screen games (not Youtube videos though, as apparently someone on a different forum had a problem with), but it doesn't hang near as long as opening the Ctrl + Alt + Delete Screen.

8 GB of RAM
Intel Core i7, 2.93 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240
