    Yea, mineral oil doesn't conduct electricity. But if you did you'd start getting algae and fish shit all in your hardware.

    mind = blown.

    No seriously, I'm going to do this some time. It's like the ultimate cooling solution, only thing is, I imagine it would be bitchy to upgrade, especially as oil can get in annoying places.

    Same, I was such a dumbass that I fucked up and got an Alienware laptop which was way over-priced, is falling apart after about 9 months, and crashes constantly due to overheating and every other thing fucking possible... FML...

    Also, it would be very fun to stick some fish in there and watch them get shredded by the fan! :evil:

    The fans slow down when you pour the oil in, but there's no need for them anymore.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking: Why would you need fans if you have liquid coolant?

    You can get rid of all the fans except the power supply fan for obvious reasons.

    And what would that be? I think I can run my computer by blowing on it! (sarcasm in the extreme)

    Rofl,I saw some benchmark of that crap some where,on idle it was fine,but on load oh god epic fail.Isn't really an effective way to keep your system cool,since the guy did not add a pump to cool the oil down and put it back in,Now that would be epic.

    Yea I was thinking of that too, the liquid needs to be cooled overtime but other than that its an interesting method.
