what do you guys think about bombing the moon? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/06/nasa-lcross-mission-to-bo_n_311038.html
Well if there's ice there we just need to create an atmosphere, an ocean and cyanobacteria (produce oxygen) and it would be habitable. Or we could place animals there and test evolution.
The moon is too small to live on, and when it faces away from the Earth (ie the rest of the moon is in shade) it goes to sub sub sub zero temperature.
As long as it doesn't move the moon about i dont know 2 inches ill be fine. Fuck it do what ever you want Earth.
yeah living on the moon would be pretty damn cold, and having no gravity would be tough to deal with.
Can't wait for the results of the bombing, pretty interesting stuff, too bad I won't get to watch it. Also, It'll be a long time until we would be able to set up habitable environments on the moon, let alone other planets, considering our limited understanding of our own biosphere. Just look at Bioshpere 2, it wasn't a complete failure, but it was pretty bad. (Look it up if you don't know what it is)
Fact Fun! Puny island nations will get wrap eduh if the moon moves anywhere out of its orbit, even 2 inches. who wants to ride 100foot tsunami waves!?!?!?!?
Actually, sorry if I sound like a complete ass-hole for correcting you, it depends on the position of the sun and the moon. If the moon and sun are collinear to the earth, then the tide is as strong as its ever going to be; conversely, if the moon and sun form a 90 degree angle with the Earth as the vertex, the tide is the weakest. Only reason I know this is because my best friend is majoring in Physical Science.
