no, a little cusion, that's different from the colored bands. it's silver and soft, I need it because when I bit down I bite on the brace so they put that there.

 

Put something in your mouth to keep from closing it?

I didn't have to deal with that, so I don't know what it is... You could always try a cotton ball or something to just put there while you're sitting around. Once again, avoid the hard food so it doesn't risk you biting onto the brace and doing further damage. I can't be of much more help :/

 

thanks but the cotton just got stuck in the brace. I'll just put wax on it. >.<
