We need to have voice chat batteries to reduce everyone speaking over each other and to limit micspam a bit more!

First of all, thank you for checking out this suggestion. I'd like to start off by saying shoutout to OBlivion for listening to this idea. OBlivion was very helpful as he redirected me to this part of the forums to actually submit this idea.

You can also make it that Donors/Staff can have unlimited battery. Everyone else has __ (whatever time what you want) amount of time to speak and then it recharges when you aren't speaking. The server is just a bit too loud sometimes and can get really really bad when there is no staff online. When no staff is on mingers especially love to mic spam and yell random garbage and it ruins the experience of other players. I see frequently that many people do not know how to mute, I know it's simple but imagine if there was nobody to assist these players and someone is just mic spamming. This addon would completely eliminate that problem.

Also you are able to change the config of the addon. The charge rate, capacity of the battery, whether staff uses the battery or not is all up to the server.

    ConVars:
dvb_minimum_players (default: 20) - Set the minimum players required to trigger the dynamic voice battery.
dvb_server_notify (default: 1) - Set whether or not to alert the players that voice battery is enabled/disabled.

Link to Addon: (It is a TTT Addon but can be adjusted to fit surf)

I also wanted to include this forum because it shows a lot of good conversation about this addon being included in another server, I did not want to make this too long so feel free to check it out. This explains the pros and cons of this being added to the server.

To finalize this suggestion, I would like to add on that you can feel free to ask questions.

I also want to add one more thing.

This link right here, is a topic we had recently on the forums.

If you do not feel like going through that forum, quickly watch this clip for context.

As you can see and hear, there is a occurrence of mic spam, toxicity and overall just not a good experience for BB surf players. "During these events, 2 ballpit votes failed (one initiated by me and one by Blue) and a /admin call resulted in nothing. Chaco was on but was unfortunately afk." This is a quote from Bunz a current BB Sub-Admin. This further elaborates my point about when staff members are not online to assist. This "Voice Chat Battery" would help these situations so greatly. Words can not describe how many situations like this would be avoided if this was implemented.

I also want to say it is very lucky that Bunz acquired video footage. If he did not, players like "Racist Goku", "Pyra" and the others involved most likely would not of got punished. The "Voice Chat Battery" would bring limitations to players that are similar to the ones shown in that video. Less time to speak, less time to minge and most importantly, more time for someone to get ahold of the situation.

Something similar has been discussed previously here - https://github.com/BB-Games/gamemode-issues-requests/issues/17 and there's plans to implement tools that better allow players to have more social control. To clarify I'm not dismissing or putting an opinion down on the above, this is just for discussion purposes so yourself and other contributors to the conversation are aware.

An update has gone live featuring new changes and additions. Will close this pending any additional feedback that this new system doesn't provide (!ignore).
