Someone just signed up for a steam acccount using my email address thinking it was non existant! I can see he paid for L4D, I know his Mastercard Number and his steam name. In just a few clicks I can steal his pass and play mah ass on his gamez. I think Ill wait until he has a large collection then... er... do nothing. I'm too kind, But I would inform him that he should change his address.
No, tell him he actually used a legit email. It aint right to steal it. If you're lucky, he may buy you something for not stealing it, as if he reports it as stolen, they'll trace your IP and VAC ban your account. Does happen. [hidden=Don't click!:7e4c2kjx]Or you could have a free go on L4D first, and appear offline on SF when he goes to bed, but thats as far as I would take it without risking it[/hidden:7e4c2kjx]
Someone hacked my skype account and bought a number and lots of minutes, Then i changed my password.. success!!!!
I once got some1 disabled. he had a vac mod w/e name, one of my brothers little friends. So i posted it up on the steam forums and they valve guy said thanky you and locked my topic. he was last online a year ago.
Have fun getting fraud charges. Little word of advice, steam isn't the best client to commit fraud on, everything is easy to trace.
Steal it. He has stolen your E-mail address so as Hamarabi's code goes. Tooth for a tooth. You take his account.
He didn't "steal" his E-mail, the guy thought that he would get away with using a random e-mail address that turned out to be George's because Karma loves him. Pretty dumb idea on the guy's part though.
Tis rather, I mean, @lolz.co.uk ? Srsly. I can see how he thought it would not be someone else's but why not just register for a free hotmail account? OR at least GO TO THE DAMN SITE FIRST, to see if it was being used.
