I'm not going to install it myself, at least at this point in time.

I tried it a month or two ago. Dunno if anything has changed since then but it seems completely focussed towards touch screen devices.

From what I've heard of it, I really don't like the sound. Especially the idea to have the screen divided into squares with different things in them. I sure hope it's not going to turn out to be another Vista. So far, again from what I've heard of it, it sounds pretty anti-gamer considering that it's bound to eat up a ton of RAM running all those different programs in those versatile tiles, and that it's geared for touch-screen heavily, which no gamer is going to have anyways.

Of course, I could be mistaken about some of the things I've only heard from second-hand sources.

You're all completely aware you can disable the touch screen layout and return to the more standard desktop view right? Get VMWare and test it there, it has a few nice surprises in it.

I'll take a few screenshots once I've downloaded the snapshot.

It's a tablet/touchscreen OS really. If you remove the new interface, you just get Windows 7 underneath it. I wouldn't bother switching, unless you plan on running it on a tablet/touchscreen pc.

There are some interesting changes there, but it's still so far back in development it's more like Windows 7.3
